RESULTS AND COUNSELLING SCHEDULE
1. The results of the Common
Entrance Test (CET) conducted on 21.6.2009 are displayed
Category-wise indicating ranks as per Annexure-I to
Annexure-VIII. The proposed counselling is only for the
following courses
(i) BSc Nautical Science
(ii) BE Marine Engineering
(iii)
B.Tech Naval Architecture
The following courses are not proposed for this academic year
(i) GME (One year Graduate Mechanical Engineering)
(ii) DME (Two year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering)

4. For
MBA (Port & Shipping
Management) and MBA (International Transportation & Logistics
Management) Courses, the results are displayed as per
Annexure-IX and counselling for
both these courses will be held at IMU Chennai Campus on 10th
July 2009.

Candidates are advised to reach the University Campus well in
advance and to complete all the formalities relating to verification
of documents, etc., from 7.00 a.m. onwards on the dates
specified and be ready for counselling.
6. The
counselling may go beyond office hours and the candidates would be
given counselling on the specified date.
7. The
list of doctors approved by the Directorate General of Shipping and
Ragas Dental & General Hospital, Kaanaathur, near the Indian
Maritime University, Chennai, which is recognised as the IMU-approved
hospital for undergoing the medical examination is displayed as
Annexure-X.
8. The
list of Government Institutions and affiliated colleges approved by
the University, course-wise, is available at
Annexure-XI.
9.
Candidates are advised to attend the counselling as per their
ranking on the date specified. The rank intimation letter, along
with the prescribed pro forma, has already been sent by post
to the candidates. In case, any candidate is not in receipt of
Rank Intimation letter, he/she can attend to the counselling as per his/her
ranking on the date specified in the website. The candidate has to
bring the duly filled pro forma (in duplicate) available website as Annexure-XII
which can be downloaded.
10.
Candidates are required to submit the pro forma (in duplicate) along
with relevant documents and a
non-refundable counselling fee Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten
thousand only) by way of a demand draft drawn from any nationalised
Bank in favour of the Indian Maritime University payable at
Chennai.
11. Candidates are
informed that they should attend the counselling at their own cost.
12. The letter of
rank intimation along with the schedule for counselling is only an
intimation for attending the admission for counselling and does not
guarantee admission.
13.
Candidates are advised to go through the IMU Website daily for day
to day updation.
